What do we want to leave behind? What mark do we want to make in our lives? What impact do we want to have on others? I never really considered these questions in my 30s and they certainly didn’t cross my mind in my 20s. Without giving my age away (too much), I’m now comfortably into my 40s and seem to spend more time pondering these types of questions (hence the blog post).
I want my footprints to be distinct and deep enough so the tide has to work damn hard at erasing them. So, how do I do that? Take a chance on the life I truly want to live. Forget about perfection and embrace vulnerability. Serve others authentically versus sell without heart. These are just a few things that pop into my head as I type this (unedited).
If things get tough or we want to give up, what better time to dig in our heels and just keep walking. After all, we can’t create a footprint in the sand without walking strong and hard – determined to leave a mark.
